It has been an exciting week at Leeds, especially in Mrs. Tillo’s 5th grade classroom! Some baby chicks hatched this week and have been spreading happiness around!πŸ₯🐣

Typically our kindergarten students participate in hatching eggs. However, these 5th graders missed out on the tradition when they were in kindergarten due to school being closed for the COVID-19 Pandemic!

🌟We’d like to give another shout out, this time to our amazing substitutes!🌟

Whether it’s a last-minute call or a planned day, our substitutes step in with flexibility, patience, and a can-do attitude to keep learning on track. We’re so grateful for the important role they play in supporting our students and staff. Our school simply couldn’t do it without them!

To any substitute who has been in our building, whether it be for one day, or if you are one of our β€œregulars”:
Your hard work, dedication, and patience does not go unnoticed. During Teacher Appreciation Week, and every week, we are so grateful for you!
THANK YOU for all the heart you pour into our students and our school community. πŸ’™πŸŽπŸ“š

The truth is even on my worst day in the classroom, it’s my best day Nothing like reviewing a lesson plan for 15 minutes before the students arrive and say to self, I’ve got this By doing my fear is diminished. Thank you Leeds Elementary School – SCCSD. To quote Steve Martin, “And I get paid for doing this”. Just a blessing

Thank you! Love substituting.
